Simrit Walia, MD
Dr. Simrit Walia is a Medical Oncologist with Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology. He received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.
Simrit is trained in all aspects of hematology and oncology. He has a special interest in solid tumor thoracic oncology, and clinical research.
He has a deep passion for AI, bio-tech, fin-tech, cryptocurrency and decentralization in blockchain technologies.
In his free time, Simrit enjoys reading, championing his fantasy football teams, and spending time with his family.

Pree Walia is the founder and CEO of Preemadonna, creator of Nailbot, a smart nail art machine and creative platform that blends hardware, software, and consumables to power self-expression. Preemadonna is backed by Halogen Ventures, Version One, and Amazon. Pree holds over 10 utility patents.
Pree serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at JumpStart, supporting pre-seed and seed-stage software technology companies. Her foundation in hardware manufacturing, software development, and consumer product design enables her to evaluate and support founders building at the intersection of atoms and bits. Pree is a also a longtime advocate for creativity through STEM and STEAM (former Board Member of MakerGirl) and incorporates youth-focused design and educational programming into her ventures, with an emphasis on community and intergenerational impact.
Pree's unconventional path-from community organizing in politics to building & operating hardware-based technology startups to angel investing & EIR work in the venture ecosystem-reflects her polymath approach to innovation & her belief that breakthroughs happen at the intersection of disciplines.
She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Northwestern. She has lived in both mainland China and India at various points in her professional and academic pursuits. She grew up in Louisiana and Mississippi; and is a novice poker player, a noteworthy fantasy football opponent & has a fierce loyalty to the New Orleans Saints.
